Dual Channel Optical to Electrical Converter

The OED-3904 is a converter of optical digital video signals to 3G/HD/SD-SDI or DVB-ASI electrical signals. The module can receive two video signals over fiber optic links via an SFP and provide four electrical outputs per channel. The OED-3904 performs automatic input signal detection, and two conversions on a single board. Users can use different SFPs with various sensitivity and wavelengths related to the link length and transmitter power. This module offers two distinct routing modes: manual and auto change-over.

The SAMIM OED 3904 is a professional optical to electrical converter designed to meet the demands of modern broadcasting and media production. This innovative module converts optical digital video signals into 3G/HD/SD-SDI or DVB-ASI electrical signals, providing a reliable solution for high-quality video transmission. With the ability to receive two video signals over fiber optic links via Small Form-factor Pluggables (SFPs), the OED 3904 offers four electrical outputs per channel, making it a versatile choice for various applications.
The OED-3904 features are optical input detection, loss compensation and input re-clocking. According to link distance, it provides different SFP with various input sensitivity. For this module “Change-over” option is available. When the “Change-over” is enabled, if one of the input signals is lost, its corresponding outputs are fed by the other input. All adjustments and controls can be applied directly by onboard DIP switches and web interface remote control
