3G/HD/SD-SDI Audio Embedder
SAE-3390 is a compelling and flexible solution for embedding eight audio pairs to a 3G/HD/SD-SDI signal from analog/digital audio inputs. The audio processor core can also delay audio pairs for up to 10 seconds and apply the desired gain.
The module also features optical I/O, frame synchronization, timing adjustment, ancillary data transparency, and test tone/pattern generation. Control and monitoring can be done using the user-friendly web-based UI and the frame’s front control panel.

The SDI input channels of the product, supports SD-SDI (Under SMPTE ST 259 standard), HD-SDI (Under SMPTE-ST 292 standard),3G-SDI (Under SMPTE ST 424 standard).
Yes, it is possible to choose optical input or output options from the product’s web-based UI. Depending to the I/O, you can select appropriate SFPs for the desired communication distance.
One electrical SDI input or one optical input. Only one of them can be selected as an input channel in the products’ UI.
Eight digital AES3 and 8 analog mono audios (or 4 analog stereo audios) can be processed by the product, through its two DB25 ports.
In ‘Audio Processing and Delay’ section of the product’s UI, some extra processes such as inverting and muting each audio channel, changing the left and right audios of each stereo channels, as well as detecting the silence and overload of each audio channel can be done. It is also possible to apply a delay for each audio channel up to 10 seconds (with steps of 1 millisecond) and also matching the audio delay to follow video processing delay by this section.
After necessary processing by the audio processor section, up to 16 audio channels can be selected by the ‘Audio Output Crossbar’ section so that they can be respectively embedded in the four audio groups by the embedder section of SAE-3390.
The separated raw video signal is sent to the ‘Video Processor’ section, and then processes like noise removing, edge enhancement and adjustments of brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, … can be performed.
The product has two electrical SDI outputs and an optional optical output. The digital video signal from video processor enters the ‘embedder’ section of the SAE-3390. After the embedding operation performed, the audios received from the 'Audio Output Crossbar' section and the final output signal of the embedder are sent out as two distributed SDI signals. In addition, the final output signal can be routed to the optical output port.
Our SDI audio embedder module features a built-in video test pattern generator. Its signal can be routed to the module's embedder input, replacing the input digital video signal via a control switch. This switch operates in both manual and automatic modes. When set to automatic mode, the module automatically switches to the pattern generator signal in case of SDI input signal loss. Additionally, the module includes an audio test tone generator, which is connected to the audio processing and delay section. After necessary processing, the generated audio signal can be selected through the audio output crossbar and applied to the module's embedder.
